Merci!

Has it really been only one week since the kids got out of school?? You mean it's not August yet? LOL!! Man! I have got to plan more than the boys already have to keep them even busier! My husband left for a two week jaunt (HA!) to Iraq for some surveying and I just think the boys are eating up the fact that it's just mommy for a bit!! Margarita's are calling my name...
However, it is also my hubby's birthday today, so I am obviously wishing him a safe and happy day...

In the meantime, I wanted to share a thank you card I made for a friend who did a surprise bday party for DH last week. This is a friend from grade school/high school who happens to live where I do and found out through another school friend! It has been fun re-connecting and laughing over old times. Not to mention the terrible hair do's we are seeing in the yearbooks...

For this card, I used MFT's set of Bundle of Bouquets and the retiring set of Behind the Scenes. I stamped the sentiment block over and over to create the bg and used my nestibilites for the oval cutout and embossing. I stamped the main image and colored it in with my Copics. I dotted the center of each flower with my yellow Copic Spica pen for a little sparkle and popped up the ovals over the sentiment panel. I added some self adhesive metal dots on the corners and some ribbon for the final embellishment. I hope you likey and I appreciate you stopping by!! Stay tuned... I am gathering up an item or two for a little blog candy!! : )

**I have fixed my last post to reflect the correct name for my monthly jewelry making with MFT! It's called Jewelry with MFT!
NOT 3-D with MFT....**

Materials used: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip, My minds eye dp, self adhesive metal dots, MS Ribbon, diamensionals, Nestibilities, Copics, Copic Spica, white gel pen, corner rounder punch
